Dr. Kaplan was born and raised in New York before earning her Bachelor of Arts degree at Boston University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, graduating in the top of her class with numerous honors and distinctions. She is a third-generation dentist, following the footsteps of her grandfather and father.
She received a Master of Science by completing an extensive three-year residency program at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, Division of Orthodontics. In residency, she had broad exposure to all case types, including treating medically complex and special-needs patients, as well as patients of all ages.
Dr. Kaplan is board-certified. She is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the Northeastern Society of Orthodontics, and the American Dental Association. Her research in orthodontic tooth movement was recognized by the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) in 2021, and she received the Thomas M. Graber Award. Recently, Dr. Kaplan’s research was published in the Progress in Orthodontics Journal.
Dr. Kaplan is married. She loves traveling, running, painting, and spending time with family and friends. She looks forward to meeting you and helping you achieve a beautiful smile and overall a more balanced bite!
